Water colour- children's illustration

Here is a little water colour painting I've completed recently that could possibly be used for a children's book illustrations. I haven't used water colours in quite a while and missed the feel.

I was looking for a relevant and interesting image to paint, and came across a picture that made me go," awww" haha and I know this illustration will make you do the same. A lot of my friends had some nostalgic feeling of their childhood with this one. :)

Digital illustration

Another illustration I've done for my editorial design. This time I decided to go a little monotone working with blues and purples, it was more about unity and the line drawing.

Feel free to leave a comment or suggestion. :)

Digital illustration

This is one of many illustrations I made for an editorial project I'm currently busy with. I think I've drawn this exact picture more than 10 times in various styles! I fear I won't be using it for the final project so, I thought I'd share it here. The theme for my magazine is, parkour lifestyle, very much inspired by illustration. And the philosophies of parkour itself.

Its an interesting projecting that we're busy with, out of my comfort zone but its also extremely exciting. Been checking out tutorials for photoshop effects!

Enjoy :) here are some links I looked at!

Illustration

I've been playing around with some illustration techniques for book illustrations and cartoons. Using my chinese brush and colouring on photoshop, this is just a quick experiment. The character I came up with is a raccoon called Roger, he's a russian and sports the traditional Shapka hat. This was pretty fun to do and the technique lends itself to this kind of illustration and my style of work. Pretty inspired by works of Sergei Brosa (sergibrosa.blogspot.com/ ) and some childrens book illustrators.
